Download Festival organisers have today confirmed that a STRICTLY LIMITED NUMBER OF DAY TICKETS for this year’s festival will go on sale on Friday 1 May at 9.00am from www.downloadfestival.co.uk priced at £65.

Following last week’s grand reveal of the day and stage splits, festival goers can  now choose whether they want to head up to Donington Park for headliners Faith No More / Motley Crue / Meshuggah on Friday 12 June, Slipknot / The Prodigy / Anvil on Saturday 13 June and Def Leppard / Trivium / Go Audio on Sunday 14 June.

For the first time in Download history, a limited amount of GUEST AREA PASSES are to be put on sale, granting access to the guest area for all three days. These hot tickets can be purchased from the Download website.

In other news, THE EA HUB will be making a welcome return to Download 2009, offering festival goers the chance to experience all the latest EA video game releases on all the best gaming platforms. Visitors can take to the stage for a Battle of the Bands in their Rock Band™ 2 tournament, and even slam one into the back of the net with Wayne Rooney on FIFA!  Exclusive to Download, the EA Hub will be allowing festival goers special pre-release action in Fight Night Round 4, while Mr Jack Black will be recruiting his Army of Rock in their fantastic new BRÜTAL LEGEND™ game!  Plus – guests can literally put themselves into an EA game video in the incredible Get in the Game virtual studio!  There’ll be competitions and giveaways galore by signing up for the EA Hub VIP programme with the Hub team for a chance to win a ton of exclusive prizes!
